I just returned from a week in the UK where I was working with Global Cycling Network, the largest cycling-focused channel on YouTube, on a new, exciting, and as-yet top-secret project (I’m not allowed to get specific about it yet).

While in Bath, England at the GCN HQ, I worked with two exceptional individuals (image above). First, James “Hank” Lowsley-Williams, a former professional cyclist and GCN presenter (best known for his capacity to  tolerate unbelievable amounts of cycling-related pain). Second, another key player in this project is Mark Beaumont, the leading adventure cyclist in the world. To give you an idea about his accomplishments, in 2017, Mark set the world record for the fastest circumnavigation of the globe on a bike (he rode more than 18,000 miles in less than 80 days, which means he rode 16 hours, 240 miles, at an average speed of 15pmh a day).

While there, I also shot a number of segments on the mental side of triathlon for the GTN (Global Triathlon Network) Show with presenter, Mark Threlfall. I’ll share those with you as they appear.

Not only was our work productive during my visit to GCN, but it was also incredibly fun. The entire GCN team is smart, passionate, interesting, and just a joy to be around.

Be on the lookout for the official announcement about the project in mid-June, just before the Tour de France.
