You already know that I believe mental imagery is one of the most powerful tools athletes in any sport can use to maximize their competitive performances. I call imagery the Swiss Army knife of mental training because it can strengthen so many aspects of your athletic performance.

Then why doesn’t EVERY athlete use mental imagery?

The biggest challenges/excuses I hear from athletes are:

  • They don’t know how to do imagery;
  • They don’t know how to create a mental imagery program;
  • It’s not part of their daily routine like their conditioning and sport training;
  • The results aren’t tangible.

I’m excited to tell you about a new app called Odibodi that makes it easier than ever for athletes to develop a comprehensive, structured, and consistent mental imagery program. (Note: I have no financial stake in Odibodi. I support and use it because I see it as a valuable mental training tool for athletes and coaches.)

On Odibodi, athletes can listen to mental imagery exercises and see and feel themselves performing their best anytime, anywhere. Odibodi brings the practice field and game day into your mind.

I believe in Odibodi so much that I’ve posted a bunch of mental imagery exercises on Odibodi and plan to create more so I can help more athletes develop a truly effective mental imagery program.

Check out Odibodi and feel free to reach out to me if you have questions. Also, let its CEO, Aimee Martin (aimee@odibodi.com), know if you’d like to use Odibodi to develop customized mental imagery exercises for yourself or your team.
